How to get going with Avast Secure line VPN for better protection?

A product by Avast, the SecureLine VPN is an application that provides a virtual private network (VPN) service to all the subscribed users.  It is compatible with Android, Windows-based operating systems, macOS, and iOS.

If you want to get started with all these smart Avast features, you need to do a few setting changes as given below. Please note that the steps are applicable on Windows-based operating systems and on the version of Avast software.

Settings in SecureLine VPN as part of Avast Antivirus:

1.       Launch the Avast Home screen and go to Privacy
2.       Click on the option of SecureLine VPN
3.       Select on Change location and pick a location from the index
·         Skipping this step will automatically connect you to the most favorable location
4.       Click Go Private to complete the process

Settings with the standalone version of SecureLine VPN:

1.       Open the Avast SecureLine VPN on your computer’s screen
2.       Choose the location of the VPN server for the drop-down menu available next to the Connect option
·         If the menu doesn’t appear, connect with Avast Tech Support for further assistance
3.       Click Connect
4.       At the bottom-right corner of the page, click on the gear icon to access your connection choices and language settings.
